Hi, this is the face behind Liuteria Bottone.

I am a music geek, a classically trained multi-instrumentalist with a love for handcrafts.

In my mid-40s I turned my guitar repairing skills into a real profession and never looked back. Prior to that, I have had extensive careers in live sound engineering, music journalism, and tour management.

I initially got into guitar building as a way to advance my ability to understand and repair guitars. However, after completing my first instrument making course in Dublin, Ireland, I decided to pack my bags and move to Sweden to dig deeper into this art.

I am now a 3rd year student at Musikinstrumentakademien, the Stockholm school of luthiery.
